Founded in 1984 by Townsend Design, highly regarded as being one of the orthopaedic industry's most respected manaufacturers of ligament and OA (osteoarthritis) knee braces, speciality lower extremity orthosis, and rehabilitate mobility devices. Townsend manufacturing and distribution centre is in Bakersfield, California.
In 2011 French group Thuasne (one of Europe's oldest, largest and most respected orthopaedic companies) acquired Townsend Design, and continue to manufacture and develop the Rebel® knee brace range, ensuring it continues to be one of the most reliable and innovative knee braces available for both weekend warriors and extreme sports users.
